MY STORY

For years, I thought the answer was finding the perfect plan.

The flawless diet. The strict routine. The “right” way to eat.

I believed if I could just get it right, the noise in my head around food would finally quiet down.

But no matter what I tried — the rules, the restriction, the starting over again (and again) — nothing gave me peace.

The cravings, the guilt, the obsessing… it always came back. And when it did, I blamed myself.

I thought I lacked discipline. That I just needed more willpower.


That maybe I just wasn’t built to have control around food.

But here’s what I know now: I wasn’t broken.


I was neurodivergent.

My ADHD brain wasn’t the problem — it just worked differently.


The constant food noise? That was dopamine-seeking.

How much time will this take me?
